Training and Assessment
The three (3) Financial Literacy units (FLE) are suited for students who hold a Community Services qualification at Certificate III level or higher to work in a Community Services environment as Money Management Workers. Money Management Workers are funded positions by The Department of Families and Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA).

The three (3) Financial Literacy electives provides foundation skills of financial literacy education for Money Management Workers (MMW) funded by FaHCSIA in the Community Services industry. It can also provide experienced staff with the opportunity to further develop their skills and gain a formal Statement of Attainments in the FLE Skill Set.

CHCFLE301A Work with clients needing financial literacy education Describes the skills and knowledge required to work in the community sector with clients requiring basic education in financial literacy.
CHCFLE302A Educate clients in fundamental literacy skills Describes the skills and knowledge required to provide education for clients in fundamental financial literacy skills, such as preparing and using a budget to address identified goals and priorities.
CHCFLE303A Educate clients to understand debt and consumer credit Describes the skills and knowledge required to educate clients in basic financial literacy concepts relating to debt and consumer credit.

Successful completion will provide students with the ability to credit transfer into CHC30108 Certificate III in Community Services Work or other community sector qualifications and Certificate III or IV level.

Who can undertake the training?
Our entry requirements are that students are competent in written and spoken English.

Places in the training and assessment program are for workers currently employed as a Money Management Worker (MMW) funded by The Department of Families and Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs FaHCSIA.

How often do the courses run and what is their duration?
The duration of the course is two months.
Courses are run regularly throughout the year.

Normal operating hours are: between the hours of 9am and 5pm.

How is the course trained and assessed?
Training and assessment will take place in training rooms organized Matrix on Board Training and delivered by a qualified Trainer and Assessor ‘s monitoring your progress.

The course is delivered with both theory and practical elements and is completed via a simulated work environment. The delivery of training will include a mixture of classroom delivery, online live classroom, online mentor support, workplace on the job.

Assessment is used to provide you with feedback on your progress and to measure your skills and knowledge against the training qualification requirements and those of the industry. The assessment process will include written and practical presentations, observation and classroom participation and will require some time away from the training rooms completing assignments and self-paced exercises.

How much will it cost?
There are no fees and charges associated with places in the training and assessment program, as the training and assessment are funded by (FaHCSIA) for Money Management Workers.

Other fees
For re- issuance of Certificates and Statements of Attainments the student will be charged ($30.00) per document required. Payment for the re-issuance of such documents is required prior to the re-issuance occurring by Matrix on Board Training.
